My life motto is "no pain no gain" There are five people in my family, and I have two siblings. My sister is a flight attendant, and I often hear her talk about work. Being raised in a harmonious family environment, I have cultivated an optimistic and positive personality. Moreover, I evaluate my ability and capability before I act upon my thoughts and ideas. I am also a person with perseverance. I believe that effort is much more important than talent, hence, I take everything seriously. I believe that is the way to become a competent and reliable person.
When I was 16, I participated in a lifeguard training and passed the test to get my Lifeguard License. Aside from learning life-saving skills, this experience has allowed me to learn how to handle stress better.
During my college life, I did a test and transferred to Fu Jen University. It was hard because I would go to class during the day, go to work after class, and after work I'd study until late night. No matter how difficult it was, in order to improve myself, I will stick to it. In the end, I got admission of first place.
About extracurricular activities, I participated in the swimming race and got 3 gold medals 1 silver medal. I took part in the basketball team, learned a lot about teamwork through that experience. I also took scuba diving courses to improve my sense of balance.
Meanwhile, I did workshops abroad in Japan, China and traveled in many places in Asia. I’m fascinated every time I travel. The world is big, traveling make me humble. No matter where we are, being respectful to the things that are different from me is always really important.
After graduation, I went back to Taichung to operate a burger shop. I try to do everything that I can do on my own not only to save money but also to learn how to start my own business from scratch.
After a year, I closed my store in Taichung. Although I enjoyed being an entrepreneur at the time, I also wanted to work my way up. Taichung is a relatively small city compared to Taipei, and I wanted to be in a more competitive environment so I can constantly challenge myself. After considering how cost is quite more expensive in Taipei, I didn’t bring my burger business up to Taipei.
For my second job, I decided to pursue a job related to what I studied in university, which is landscape architectural design. I became a landscape designer at DuenYang Construction Company. My job involves analyzing field study data, drafting design plans, writing reports and preparing presentations, etc.
With all my previous experiences, I believe problem-solving and perseverance is my strong suits. I have worked solely and in teams before, so I believe I make a good team player as well as a good independent worker. Looking forward to work with many great people at your esteemed company, and to use my advantages and skills to lessen my coworkers’ workload as well. I will continue to learn on my own and keep on improving myself so I can be very qualified for my job. I really hope to have a chance to have an interview at your esteemed company.
